Fun and ‘Furious’

Special to the Daily Press
The movie: The Fast and the Furious
The director: Justin Lin
The stars: Lucas Black, Bow Wow, Brian Tee, Sung Kang
Those of you thinking “not again” should think again, because this third installment of the high-octane “Fast and Furious” franchise isn’t half bad. Check that — it IS half bad (the stuff involving storyline, characters and dialogue), but the other half (the eye-popping race sequences) makes it worth the price of admission. Lucas Black is a juvie hall candidate with a speed addiction who gets shipped off to live with his military dad in Tokyo, where fast cars and fast women abound. So he races the cars and chases the women … fastly and furiously.
(Rated PG-13. Running time: 104 minutes)
