Movielink, the leading broadband video-on-demand (VOD) service, recently signed a lease renewal for 21,261 square feet of office space at Equity Office’s Arboretum Courtyard, located at 2120 Colorado Ave. in Santa Monica’s special office district.

Movielink, which occupies space on the fourth floor, has been located in the 100 percent occupied building since 2002.

“We are pleased to be able to remain at Arboretum Courtyard, which is a premier location within the Santa Monica special office district,” said Jim Ramo, CEO of Movielink. “The creative environment is a perfect match for Movielink.”

Mark Robinson, Paul Stockwell and Arlene Sommer of Studley represented Movielink. Equity Office was represented in-house by Gail Goldstein, director of leasing.

“Our goal is to work with our customers to support their renewal needs. The Santa Monica market is experiencing increased absorption as companies continue to seek high quality office space,” said Bert Dezzutti, senior vice president of Equity Office’s Los Angeles region. “The trend is clearly toward media companies wanting to be in Santa Monica’s special office district because of the synergies to other companies in the entertainment industry nearby.”

Located in the heart of Santa Monica, Arboretum Courtyard features approximately 140,000 square feet of creative office space. The two, four-story buildings were built in 1999 and designed in Santa Barbara Classicist architecture utilizing limestone and granite. The courtyard features landscaping, bench and patio seating and a reflecting pool.
