It’s all about the orchids this weekend. At the Annual Orchid Auction, cymbidium and other outdoor growing orchids, blooming plants and other exotic varieties will all be up for bid.

The westside branch of the Cymbidium Society of America is a non-profit organization that strives to stimulate and extend the appreciation of cymbidium and paphiopedilum orchids. This is their only fundraiser for the year.

The Annual Orchid Auction will be held today at 7 p.m. in the Grant Elementary School cafeteria, 2368 Pearl St. Call: (310) 826-0994\. Admission is free. Kids of all ages play the day away
