*By Maria P. Bell Ocean Park*

The list of OPCO board members with ties to such stalwart organizations as Community Corporation, the Church of Ocean Park, the Landmarks Commission and other community groups runs deep. One has to wonder who and what is keeping OPCO afloat or maintaining their silence in the face of this apparent illegal and unethical on-going activity.

Ultimately, it is we the neighbors of Ocean Park who suffer and receive a black-eye because of a few megalomaniacs who insist on perverting a tool for us to use to better ourselves and our neighborhood. Let us hope that the good judge in the OPCO case acts soon so we can “balance our checkbooks.”
