It’s time to run with the Kite Runner. Khaled Hosseini, the Afghan-American author whose best-selling novel “The Kite Runner” has captivated and deeply moved readers internationally, will be speaking at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 21 in the SMC Pavilion. The event is free.

The college is expecting a large audience, particularly because “The Kite Runner” is the selection for the 2005 Santa Monica Citywide Reads program.
