After 25 years building the Houston’s brand with signature dishes he created, Bob Lynn is now putting his stamp on a group of restaurants that embody his own vision to develop “food projects” in landmark locations, including Santa Monica’s Main Street.

The founder and President of La Grande Orange (LGO) Hospitality (www.lgohospitality.com) has signed lease agreements to develop new restaurants with LGO’s signature recipes in a 4,300-square-foot space, including an outdoor patio, on the corner of Main Street and Bicknell Avenue in Santa Monica. Lynn also is opening a restaurant in Pasadena.

The hard-to-come-by location along Main Street in Santa Monica will be a casual café with homemade pizzas, salads and sandwiches. Both restaurants will feature a format similar to La Grande Orange, a popular neighborhood deli and funky market LGO created in Phoenix.

The Santa Monica restaurant is expected to open in about 18 months.

Lynn left the $250 million Houston’s Restaurant chain last December as the second-in-command, overseeing 6,000 employees.
