Perhaps summertime is the best time to increase your IQ. It’s not too late to sign up for summer classes at Santa Monica College, which is offering a full curriculum of six-week courses, including more than 40 online classes. SMC’s summer session begins June 19.

Students at SMC can now purchase parking permits online. The online application and enrollment process has been designed for ease and for providing instant information on financial aid, assessment testing, counseling and orientation, said Teresita Rodriguez, dean of enrollment services.

SMC also is accepting applications and enrollment for fall semester classes. The college’s one-stop welcome center in the student cafeteria is where new students are able to enroll in classes, receive counseling, pay fees, apply for financial aid, and sign up for tours of the campus. The admissions office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. The admissions office is located at the main entrance to the campus at 1900 Pico Blvd.
