# Letter: Opposing new development that doesn't benefit Santa Monica residents

“I LIVE IN THE VILLAGE TRAILER PARK. WE are constantly being threatened by new development, useless development, unworthwhile development, and I am absolutely for the curtailment of it. The development isn’t even for Santa Monica’s citizens, as we all know. Who is it for? Business aren’t benefiting, people aren’t benefiting, and certainly the citizens aren’t. Probably the police department is and City Hall is, but that’s all.”
