✆ Valerie Hiss has provided a valuable service to the community, one which the city should have provided long ago. The law against placing objects on trees has not been enforced, as the city has nailed “No Smoking” signs to trees in Palisades Park, and temporary “No Parking” signs on street trees. At the same time, they have ignored other laws against camping in the parks, sleeping in doorways, or accosting people on the streets. City Hall has a distorted sense of values, and has completely lost touch with its constituents. Hopefully, we can make some changes in November.
