# City considers gangway to restore commercial boating at Santa Monica Pier

City officials are seriously considering restoring commercial boating by building a gangway at the Santa Monica Pier, where visitors would be able to embark on sight-seeing boat tours and sport fishing excursions. The concept is to revitalize the pier so it can stay competitive with other cities and tourist destinations. So this week’s Q-Line wants to know: “Do you support revitalized water activities off the pier? Why or why not?” Call (310) 285-8106 before Friday at 5 p.m. and we’ll print your responses in the weekend edition. Please try to limit your comments to a minute or less.
