# Letter: Whole Foods Arrival Near Rose and Lincoln Wins Praise

“REGARDING THE AREA THERE — ROSE and Lincoln — I am quite pleased that Whole Foods moved in there. I will miss Big Lots and now I have to drive to Culver City for Big Lots, but they have remodeled that Big Lots store in Culver City and it is quite nice. I do not believe the Whole Foods and that area there has a direct situation with Venice, I think it’s more with Marina del Rey. Keep in mind we have some very elegant condominiums down there south of Washington Boulevard along Lincoln Boulevard and I think that’s mostly the shoppers they’re searching for. But they have cleaned up that area. I’ll tell you that area was really very seedy for a while and now it’s quite nice.”
