We’re not talking about a painting here. The Frida Kahlo Theater presents the play “Frida Kahlo,” which is back by popular demand. Written and directed by Ruben Amavizca, this biographical play takes a diverse look at Kahlo’s life — as an artist, a woman, a political activist, a passionate lover and a wife.

There will be performances in both English and Spanish. English performances will run though Dec. 2\. Spanish performances start on Nov. 23 and go until Dec. 16.

The Frida Kahlo Theater is located at 2332 W. Fourth Street in Los Angeles. Shows start at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Sunday shows begin at 6 p.m. For more information and reservations call (213) 382-8133, or visit the website at www.fridakahlotheater.org.
