Bernie Williams, associate producer of “A Clockwork Orange,” will discuss the ground-breaking film. Williams will speak on Nov. 20 after the movie is screened as part of a popular and free political film series launched at Santa Monica College this semester.

“A Clockwork Orange,” the last in the film series, will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20 in Science Lecture Hall 145, 1900 Pico Blvd.

The films in the series focus on contemporary political issues, including race, war, corporate power, crime, religion and the media. Political Science Professor Alan Buckley and Film Studies Professor Josh Kanin host and moderate the after-screening discussions.

“A Clockwork Orange,” Stanley Kubrick’s 1971 masterpiece starring Malcolm McDowell, takes a dark and satirical look at a government experiment that attempts to reform criminals through an unorthodox new medical treatment.
