# Letter: Landmarks Commission should enforce historic district guidelines

“NO, THE HOMEOWNERS ARE NOT overreacting. If an individual buys a condominium, he is bound by condo association rules. Similarly, if a person buys into an historical district, then they should still follow the guidelines for that district. No wonder other residents are dismayed and want to protect their neighborhood when someone buys into the district and decides not to follow the guidelines. It’s very disrespectful of the historical district and the Landmarks Commission should enforce the rules.”
