# Letter: Q-line responders repeat old complaints about City Council and development

“AS A DAILY READER OF THE SANTA Monica Daily Press and Q-line responder, I must say that daily stories and Q-line questions have a familiar storyline and question redundancy that are basically regarding out-with-the-old and in-with-the-new and other time-worn subjects. Those who respond to Q-line do so with hateful rhetoric, usually referring to the City Council as being mindless. Huell Howser of KCET enjoys visiting cities with both an old town and a new town. So do I. I also enjoy seeing an old vacant building given new life through renovation and often the interior is divided into small shops, while saving the outside, original appearance.”
