# John Muir School to hold first Intercultural Celebration Dec. 11

The John Muir School will be celebrating more than just the holidays this month. The school’s first Intercultural Celebration will be Saturday, Dec. 11, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the cafeteria.

The fundraiser will have ethnic cuisine from local restaurants, music and dancing, a raffle and flags created by the students. A student from each class will receive a Citizenship Award at the event.

Local residents and school supporters are welcome to celebrate Muir’s students and learn about diversity along with members of the school community. For more information, contact Nicole Picard, Muir PTA fund-raising chair at (310) 392-2449 or Planning meetings for the event will be Dec. 2 and Dec. 8- 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., in room 205 at the school.
