Tired of looking for holiday gifts in malls and crowded shopping centers? Why not give a local school book fair a chance?

Santa Monica Alternative School House, a SMMUSD school, is hosting the annual book fair, which began on Nov. 29 and will continue until Dec. 6\. Operating hours are from 8:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The book fair is open to the public.

In addition to being an option for holiday shopping, books and other items for kids kindergarten through eighth grade will be sold at favorable prices. A portion of all proceeds go to support the school. Let the healing begin
