On January 23, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Officers responded to the area of Main and Ocean Park because a male subject was throwing bricks or rocks onto the roadway. Officers responded and made contact with the subject matching the description. The subject admitted to throwing rocks at trees and had thirteen large rocks in his pockets. One person had come forward to say they had been struck by a rock the suspect threw. The suspect threw a rock at a window of a local business causing it to shatter. The suspect was placed under arrest. Shane Andrew Suter, 43, homeless, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism. Bail was set at $30,000.
