# A woman suffering from a suspected drug overdose

**CPR:** A woman suffering from a suspected drug overdose died yesterday on the 1600 block of 5th Street. Employees of the Santa Monica Daily Press saw the victim lying on the sidewalk across from the SMDP office and found her in the midst of a seizure. Police officers arrived on scene to administer CPR before firefighters arrived to take over care. After about 30 minutes, she was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
