# Americana in the Park returns to Gandara Park for sixth year on Sept. 13

The sixth annual Americana in the Park will bring roots, blues, jazz and folk music to[ ](https://www.santamonica.gov/places/parks/gandara-park?ref=smdp.com)[Gandara Park](https://www.santamonica.gov/places/parks/gandara-park?ref=smdp.com), 1819 Stewart St., on Sunday, Sept. 13, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. The free, all-ages event features kid-friendly activities and onsite food trucks.

Presented by[ ](https://www.mccabes.com/?ref=smdp.com)[McCabe's Guitar Shop](https://www.mccabes.com/?ref=smdp.com) in partnership with the city of Santa Monica's Cultural Affairs Division and KCRW, the concert showcases local talent playing traditional Americana and its modern forms. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket, lawn chair and picnic.

The 2026 lineup includes[ ](http://albertleeofficial.com/?ref=smdp.com)[Albert Lee](http://albertleeofficial.com/?ref=smdp.com), a Grammy-winning British guitarist known for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking and multiple "Best Country Guitarist" honors from Guitar Player Magazine;[ ](http://www.makinaloca.com/?ref=smdp.com)[Ricardo Lemvo & Makina Loca](http://www.makinaloca.com/?ref=smdp.com), blending Afro-Cuban rhythms with pan-African styles such as soukous, semba and kizomba;[ ](https://www.abbyposner.com/?ref=smdp.com)[Abby Posner & the Big Fall](https://www.abbyposner.com/?ref=smdp.com), a genre-defying multi-instrumentalist recently featured on NPR's Mountain Stage;[ ](https://jasonluckett.com/?ref=smdp.com)[Jason Luckett](https://jasonluckett.com/?ref=smdp.com), a singer-songwriter mixing jazz, soul and samba with social justice themes; and the[ ](https://www.bobbakermarionettetheater.com/?ref=smdp.com)[Bob Baker Marionette Theater](https://www.bobbakermarionettetheater.com/?ref=smdp.com), the nonprofit puppet theater and Los Angeles Cultural-Historical Monument serving the community since 1963.

Public transportation is encouraged. Big Blue Bus Route 43 serves Gandara Park with buses every 45 minutes, and Metro Rail's E Line stops nearby at 26th St./Bergamot Station, with trains every 10 minutes between East Los Angeles and Downtown Santa Monica.
