LOS ANGELES — Police say an argument between two men at a Los Angeles barbershop escalated into gunfire, leaving both men wounded.

Shots were heard at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday inside or outside the Lincoln Boulevard shop in Venice.

Police spokesman Richard French says the men who were arguing were wounded. They were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening wounds.

The nature of the argument isn't known and it's unclear if both men were armed.
