# Around Town: Fall Arrives with Yacht Rock, Greek Tragedy & New Eats

**SMDP's Weekly Guide to Food & Entertainment Goings-On In & Around Town includes Palisades nightlife, free outdoor movies and music, a new nonprofit bakery, award-winning Indian cuisine, and much more!**

**Palisades Night at The Bungalow:** What started as a one-night gathering for the Palisades community is now a monthly event. The September edition features Palisades native DJ Graham Funke, drink specials inspired by local Palisades favorites and merchandise benefiting LA Strong Sports and the rebuilding of the Pacific Palisades Park and Recreation Center. **Pride Night at Circle Bar:** Kick off the weekend early as Circle Bar hosts its local Pride Night on Main Street. **The Getty Villa and Latino Theater Company partner for Aztec-inspired ‘Antigone’ adaptation:** Sophocles' ancient Greek tragedy gets a radical makeover this fall as “Antigone: In the Language of Kings” moves the story to pre-conquest Tenochtitlan. The production incorporates pre-Hispanic music and poetry and is performed in English, Spanish and Nahuatl. **Marina Movie Nights:** Grab your family, a picnic dinner, and a blanket or low-profile beach chairs and make your way to Burton Chace Park for the free Summer Concerts on select Saturdays through Sept. 26\. **Yacht Rock Takes Over Tongva Park:**  Break out the boat shoes for a Concert AND Film: The Windbreakers Yacht Rock band will be performing smooth '70s sing-along classics and there will be a screening of the HBO Original Documentary Yacht Rock: A DOCKumentary introduced by the film’s Director Garret Price. **Louma Bakery Soft-Open:** The non-profit bakery’s ethos is in European baking principles mixed with a “Levantine twist.” Expect classic Viennoiserie, fresh-baked sourdough, seasonal fruit tarts, and at least six varieties of croissants. **Fitoor Named OpenTable 2026 Diners' Choice Winner:** The modern coastal Indian restaurant Fitoor has been named an OpenTable 2026 Diners' Choice restaurant. Based directly on verified diner reviews and reservations, the award spotlights the hotspot's bold regional Indian flavors, creative cocktail menu, and vibrant atmosphere. **Eater Gives West Side Oyster Club a Shucking Good Review:** Eater has named West Side Oyster Club one of the best places for oysters in Santa Monica right now, praising its high-quality shellfish, lobster rolls, clam chowder and fish and chips. The review calls it a more affordable alternative to some of Santa Monica's pricier seafood destinations.
