PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY — A Santa Monica message therapist plead guilty last week to sexually assaulting a client in 2011, police announced Wednesday. Jesse Tovar, 23, was convicted on one felony count of false imprisonment and one count of misdemeanor sexual battery.
SAMOHI — Samohi’s victory over South Torrance featured a touch of the familiar and a good helping of new. The familiar was senior Adam Padilla, who threw a complete game, allowing just a lone run during Tuesday’s 3-1 win over South.
PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY — A motorcyclist who was seriously injured when his bike collided with a sport utility vehicle on Pico Boulevard last month succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital, Santa Monica police report.
SMC — It seems that soccer is a popular sport at Santa Monica College these days. The school has resurrected its men’s soccer program after nearly 20 years of not taking the pitch.
