On January 10, at about 8:36 p.m.

While patrolling the area of 11th Street and Michigan Avenue, officers saw a bicyclist fail to stop for a red light. Officers stopped the bicyclist for the violation. The subject did not have any form of identification on him. The subject admitted to possessing methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Officers recovered a small baggie of methamphetamine and a narcotics smoking pipe. The subject was taken into custody. Additionally, officers determined the bicycle he was riding was valued at about $2500 and possibly stolen. Carlos Alvarado Martinez, 27, from Santa Monica was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Bail $20,000.
