The protected bike lanes on Ocean Avenue are almost complete as city leaders look to connect the Colorado Esplanade and California Incline bikeways to create a continuous protected route from the Downtown Santa Monica Metro light rail station to the beach. However, local drivers have had a hard time adjusting to the new flow of traffic near California and Ocean avenues.
