SM BEACH The body of a woman was found Thursday morning near a beach rest-room. Police said foul play was not suspected in her death.

The body was discovered shortly after 8 a.m. near the 1100 block of Palisades Beach Road, according to SMPD Lt. Alex Padilla.

The woman, in her early 40s and believed to be homeless, may have died of natural causes.

“It looks as if she had bed down for the night, and just never got up,” Padilla said.

Authorities withheld the deceased’s name, pending notification of relatives.
