On September 17, at 6:47 p.m.
Downtown Service Officers were in the area of 1400 block of 3rd Street when they received a radio call about a subject who threw a bottle at a store window and ran from the area. Officers located the subject in the area. The investigation revealed there was no damage done to the store window. The subject had an outstanding warrant arrest. While at the jail, the suspect struck the officer in the face. Joshua Abram Islas, 26, from Westchester, was arrested for battery on a police officer and a probation violation. He was denied bail.
