SANTA MARIA — St. Monica's Troy Whiteto hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to secure a 53-51 playoff win over Santa Maria St. Joseph on Friday night.

"Unbelievable," St. Monica head coach Khi-Min Jung wrote in a text.

Whiteto's late-game heroics propelled the Mariners to the quarter finals of the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Division 5AA playoffs.
