Crossroads’ boys’ soccer team will play Desert Mirage for the CIF-SS Division 6 title at Downey Warren High School on Saturday.

The Roadrunners’ surprising run to the final started with the team as a wild card, having to win a game just to qualify for the regular playoffs. They followed that with wins over Tarbut V’Torah and Ontario Christian in the first two rounds.

Then came a 4-3 overtime win over Rosamond in the quarterfinals. Finally, Crossroads topped Desert Hot Springs, 2-1 to set up the matchup with Desert Mirage, which qualified for the final with a 2-1 overtime win over Citrus Hill in the semis.
