Santa Monica Public Library presents: Plant an Herbalicious Garden
Published:

Learn something new in the new year! Santa Monica Public Library presents a program for kids ages 6 to 11, “Plant an Herbalicious Garden,” on Saturday, January 9, at 1 p.m. via Zoom. An expert from the Santa Monica Community Gardens shows kids how to start their own garden, perfect for a windowsill or patio. Materials, including a pot and saucer, potting soil, and seeds, are available at Santa Monica Public Library Curbside Pickup locations, while supplies last. This free program is co-sponsored with the Office of Sustainability and the Environment. Register via Zoom.

Want to learn more about gardening? Families can place holds on books through the library’s website at smpl.org or by calling 310-458-8600, and pick them up at the library’s curbside pickup windows. For some great titles, explore our Gardening and Planting for Kids list, prepared by library youth services staff: Gardening for Kids

While the Library buildings remain closed to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 we are here to assist you. Contactless curbside pickup service is available at Santa Monica Public Library. We encourage you to visit our Online Library and access the Library’s many digital services that are available 24/7. Questions? Call us at (310) 458-8600 or email reference@smgov.net. Staff are available Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and look forward to connecting with you.
