After a rain-out the weekend of the L.A. Marathon, the city’s Buy Local Expo will take to the Third Street Promenade Saturday to give the public a look at Santa Monica’s businesses.
Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. and the City of Santa Monica, the expo will feature 80 local vendors and food booths, interactive activities, live music and entertainment on two stages.
Some of the day’s musical guests are Midnight Mirage, Buffalo Skinners and The Ghouls & The Bad Boyz.
The expo is being held as part of the citywide Buy Local Weekend, featuring sidewalk sales along most of the city’s busy shopping districts including Montana Avenue, Main Street, Pico Boulevard, Ocean Park Boulevard and the promenade.
Some of the related activities include a raffle and scavenger hunt.
The expo will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
