Caltrans will implement multiple lane closures and traffic restrictions on Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga Canyon Boulevard, Nov. 3-9, as part of ongoing Palisades Fire recovery and emergency repair work.

Pacific Coast Highway between Temescal Canyon Road in Pacific Palisades and Carbon Beach Terrace in Malibu will operate under reduced speed limits, with crews authorized to establish single-lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays.

The highway section from Temescal Canyon Road to Sunset Boulevard will maintain a 35 mph speed limit with cones and signage. The stretch from Sunset Boulevard to Carbon Beach Terrace remains an active work zone subject to single-lane closures and 25 mph speed limits.

Several specific closure zones are planned. Northbound PCH will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday between Kanan Dume Road and Ramirez Canyon Road. Similar restrictions will affect the area just south of Latigo Canyon Road to just north of Puerco Canyon Road from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

Fire damage repairs between Las Flores Canyon Road and Sunset Boulevard will require lane closures from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily as crews restore roadway, drainage and electrical systems while conducting slope repairs.

Near Big Rock Drive, northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, affecting less than half a mile of roadway.

Southern California Edison trenching operations between Las Flores Canyon and Topanga Canyon Boulevard will close the northbound outermost lane and shoulder from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends, and 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily. Southbound restrictions in the same area will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends, and 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.

Topanga Canyon Boulevard from Pacific Coast Highway to Grand View Drive remains closed to the public from midnight to 5 a.m. daily. One-way traffic control with pilot cars will operate from 5 a.m. to midnight daily between postmiles 2.5 and 2.8.

All closures are weather-permitting and subject to change. Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes during construction hours.
