Caltrans will implement overnight lane reductions along Interstate 405 through the Sepulveda Pass for median barrier work as part of a pavement rehabilitation project.
Work begins after 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, and concludes by 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14. No work is scheduled Monday, Nov. 10, through Tuesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
During the work period, up to two lanes of northbound I-405 between Wilshire Boulevard and Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive will be reduced. Up to two lanes of southbound I-405 between Skirball Center Drive/Mulholland Drive and Wilshire Boulevard will also face reductions.
The work is part of the $143.7 million I-405 Pavement Rehabilitation Project between Van Nuys and Westwood communities along the Sepulveda Pass, designed to improve safety and mobility while extending pavement life.
Schedules may change due to weather or operational reasons. Nearby residents and businesses may experience noise, vibrations and dust from construction activities.
Current road conditions are available at Quickmap. Residents can sign up for notifications about the project and find more information at the Caltrans Current Projects Website.
