Caltrans will close a 3.6-mile stretch of Topanga Canyon Boulevard/State Route 27 between Pacific Coast Highway and Grand View Drive from 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, to 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, for pavement restoration work.
Crews will rehabilitate pavement damaged by construction, excavation and drilling activity in the area, which is an active work zone for ongoing recovery efforts from the Palisades Fire and 2025 winter storms.
When the road reopens at 10 a.m. Sunday, it will return to its previous conditions, which include several ongoing traffic restrictions. A one-lane traffic control section from approximately mile markers 2.5 to 2.8 operates daily from 5 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. One-lane traffic control from just north of the Topanga Library to Happy Trail is in effect for Southern California Edison trenching work on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional one-lane traffic control for SCE electrical work between Highvale Trail and Happy Trail runs Sunday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. A full closure of SR-27 from PCH to Grand View Drive remains in effect daily between midnight and 5 a.m.
