City hosts annual Virginia Avenue Park Open House and Resource Fair

The city of Santa Monica will host its annual Virginia Avenue Park Open House and Resource Fair on Friday, Sept. 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The free event connects residents with local service providers and showcases programs offered at Virginia Avenue Park and throughout the city.

Participants can learn about services supporting community well-being, including senior programs, financial services, mental health support, music education and hospitality employment training. City departments will provide information and resources.

Community partners and participating agencies include the American Red Cross, Chrysalis, CLARE | MATRIX, Family Service of Santa Monica, Haven Neighborhood Services, Hospitality Training Academy, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, NAMI Westside Los Angeles, Santa Monica College Noncredit Initiatives, Santa Monica Fire Department, Santa Monica Police Department, SMC Emeritus, Social & Emotional Wellness Initiative and Venice Family Clinic.

Free popcorn and lemonade will be available while supplies last.
