The City of Malibu Arts Commission will host a free opening reception for "Land, Water, Spirit," featuring paintings by Richard Reiner, on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 12:00 p.m. at City Hall.
"Malibu's arts community continues to thrive and evolve," said Mayor Marianne Riggins. "Exhibitions like this showcase Malibu's incredible talent and deepen our shared appreciation for the natural world and the creative voices it inspires."
The reception includes complimentary refreshments, live music by Martini Kings, and a Q&A with the artist. No RSVP is required.
The exhibition runs from Nov. 17, 2025, through Jan. 2, 2026, at the Malibu City Gallery on the first floor of City Hall, 23825 Stuart Ranch Road.
Born in the Bronx, Reiner was introduced to arts through family museum visits. After a 25-year career as an entertainment industry talent agent, he rekindled his passion for painting. An outdoor enthusiast, Reiner's work explores nature's beauty, power and serenity. His paintings have appeared on CBS's "The Mentalist" and NBC's "This Is Us."
The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is always free with no tickets or RSVPs required.
