The City of Malibu's Fall 2025 Recreation Guide and City Newsletter is now available online at MalibuCity.org/CommunityServices and will be mailed to Malibu residents this week.
The guide showcases the city's recreation programs for all ages, parks and facilities, as well as informative articles and contact information for city departments and services. Residents can sign up using the city's new online registration platform.
"Fall in Malibu is a wonderful time to get outside, get active, and enjoy some of the city's excellent programs, classes, sports and events," said Mayor Marianne Riggins. "From wellness workshops to free family-friendly community events, our programs help strengthen the connections that make Malibu such a special place."
Riggins emphasized the importance of community activities as the city continues recovering from wildfires.
"As we continue to recover from the wildfires, investing in community activities is an important part of our healing and resilience," she said.
Programs running September through November include afterschool programs in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Malibu, sunset hikes at Charmlee Wilderness Park, wellness workshops with The Mindry, parent-and-me programs, poetry workshops and Senior Center activities.
The guide also highlights upcoming special events including the Malibu Library Speaker Series, Senior Resource Fair and Halloween Bu Bash Carnival.
This season marks the launch of the city's partnership with Rec Technologies, introducing a mobile-first online registration platform designed to make signing up more accessible and convenient. Residents can now register for programs and reserve facilities from their phones, with new payment options including Google Pay and Apple Pay. Program participants can also check in using a personal QR code.
Registration for fall programs opens Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 8 a.m. at MalibuCity.org/Register. For ongoing updates and details on Community Services programs, visit MalibuCity.org/CommunityServices.
