It is with heavy hearts that The Daily Press announces the passing of longtime columnist and friend Bill Bauer. For more than 14 years, Bill’s popular “My Write” column informed our readers, educated our staff and kept city officials on their toes. From working to save and preserve the Santa Monica Pier to serving as City Council watchdog, Bill helped shape our community in ways that will be felt for generations. For more than 45 years, he was our neighbor and he was our friend. He will be sorely missed.
The Daily Press will pay tribute to Bill Bauer in the coming days.
