# Santa Monica College Fall Concert Series Schedule Set for October

Other concerts in the series are scheduled as follows: ■ Sunday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m.: SMC Jazz Band. Under the direction of conductor Keith Fiddmont, the band will perform classic “big band” jazz as well as contemporary pieces. (Tickets are $10.) ■ Sunday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m.: SMC Concert Band. Under the direction of conductor Kevin McKeown, the ensemble performs traditional and contemporary music written specifically for the concert band. (Tickets are $8.) ■ Friday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m.: SMC Jazz Band Vocalists with the Jon Mayer Trio. (Tickets are $10.) ■ Sunday, Oct. 31 at 4 p.m.: Baritone Leonard Smetannikov. This leading Russian baritone will perform a program ranging from arias and art songs to Russian folk songs. (Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 students.)
