A statement released by City Hall states that officials are looking for 200 volunteers to take to the streets on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 10 p.m. The count will continue until 2 a.m. the following day.

Teams of two to three will survey the city tallying the number of homeless individuals they encounter. Volunteers will be deployed on foot and in cars. Please indicate any preferences.

The data from the last count revealed an 8 percent reduction in the number of people living on the streets compared to 2007.
