A suicidal man prompted the temporary evacuation and closure of the Santa Monica Courthouse this morning.
The Santa Monica Police Department issued an alert at 8:53 a.m. announcing the closure of the Courthouse and road restrictions on Main Street between Olympic and Pico. The suicidal man had driven his truck onto the lawn in front of the court where he stayed for about half an hour before eventually leaving on a stretcher.
Officers removed the truck from the lawn and reopened the court at 9:15 a.m.
