On September 13, at 1:30 a.m.
A male suspect forced entry into the Media Lab building located in the 1200 block of 7th St. The suspect gained access into various offices and computer rooms in the building and removed electronic equipment. Video surveillance captured the actions of the suspect. Detectives were able to identify the suspect seen in the video. The Crime Impact team located the suspect in the area of Ocean and Pacific St and took him into custody without incident. Paul Marquez Bautista, 41, homeless, was arrested for burglary. Bail was set at $50,000.
