On August 8, at about 2:55 a.m.
Officers responded to Mel’s Diner – 1670 Lincoln Blvd – regarding a disturbance. A male subject threw a drink at a customer and refused to leave the restaurant. Upon arrival, officers saw the subject standing in front of the location with food strewn about the entrance. The subject was detained for an investigation. Officers learned from the restaurant security guard that the subject was not allowed to enter the restaurant because he was not wearing shoes. The subject became upset and began throwing food around the front of the restaurant. The subject refused to leave. The restaurant was desirous of prosecution for trespassing. The subject was taken into custody. Alexander Bruce Taylor, 32, from Los Angeles was arrested for trespassing. Bail was set at $5,000.
