On August 15 at 12:29 a.m.
Officers responded to the 700 block of Pacific Coast Highway regarding a traffic collision with injuries where one of the parties was refusing to exchange information. When the officer spoke with one of the driver’s they immediately recognized the symptoms of someone under the influence of a controlled substance. Field Sobriety Tests (FST’s) were conducted and the officers determined the driver was under the influence of drugs and unable to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the SMPD Jail. Andre Anthony Williams, 28, from Huntington Beach was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
