Downtown Services Units (DSU) responded to the 700 block of Broadway regarding a Strongarm Robbery. Upon arrival, Officers learned it was an Elder abuse incident and not a robbery. The victim stated that she had been walking on Broadway pushing her utility cart when she suddenly felt a forceful impact against her cart causing her to lose balance and fall. Although the victim could not identify a suspect, a nearby witness observed the suspect kick the victim’s cart and was able to describe his appearance and direction of travel. Edgar Raul Cabrera was arrested for Elder Abuse- 368(B)(1) PC. Cabrera was arrested and a parole hold was issued.
