On January 14
SMPD and SMFD responded to a palm tree on fire near the Lincoln Blvd Offramp to the I-10 freeway. Witnesses report seeing a female standing near the burning tree. Upon officer arrival, SMFD had extinguished the blaze and a female suspect was located in the surrounding area. Ana Rincon, 44 years old, was found in possession of a lighter and charred money. She was transported to the Santa Monica Jail and booked for arson.
