Published:

Crime Watch is culled from reports provided by the Santa Monica Police Department. These are arrests only. All parties are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On Sunday, March 20th at 4:25 a.m.

Officers responded to the 100 block of 20th St. regarding a Prowler and that the reporting party (RP) was whispering during the call. Upon arrival, officers spotted two subjects walking away from the location and detained them while they spoke to the reporting party. The RP stated that they heard rattling outside their window and noticed two subjects attempting to gain entrance into the building. Eventually, they accessed the courtyard and stole some towels that had been left out to dry. Officers arrested Guadalupe Anaya and William B Whittle for Burglary. They were further found to be in possession of burglary tools with the intent to feloniously enter a building, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
