Homeless Liaison Program (HLP) officers were flagged down by two individuals on the 100 block of Olympic. The individuals stated that they had been walking to get coffee when they noticed a subject walking toward them yelling profanities. The male stood in front of his female companion to protect her from the subject as he approached. Suddenly, the subject hit him in the face with an open hand and attempted to wrap his hand around the victim’s neck. The victim was able to quickly push him off and the subject walked away. Officers located and arrested Gregory A. Jarred for battery.
