On January 15, 2023
Officers arrested Paul Townsend for petty theft at Burtons. Store employees reported that Townsend put on a jacket and gloves valued at over $350 before exiting the store without paying. SMPD officers arrived on scene and located the suspect, returned the stolen items to the store and transported Townsend to the Santa Monica Jail.
