Officers responded to a call about a theft occurring at H&M on the 1400 block of 3rd Street Promenade. Upon arrival, employees shared that the suspect had been spotted wearing an unpaid for jacket and putting clothing items into a bag he was carrying. Employees locked the main doors to the store and prevented the individual from leaving until he returned the items. The suspect managed to get the door to open and escape. A few hours later, one of the employees spotted the suspect and contacted SMPD. Obafemi Emanuel Ajayi was arrested for 211PC - Robbery.
